Description Field Compliance Supervisor Location: London, Inner M25 region (Field based) Job type: Full time, Permanent Ref: 968 Telent are looking for a Field Compliance Supervisor to join forces with the Network Services and TIS team. This is an opportunity to support the Fibre Installations team on the delivery of fibre installations work, and ensure that health and safety on site remains top tier. This is a field based role that will see you travel from site to site across the Inner M25 region (London), and attend the London Pirin Court office for meetings if or when needed. The Field Compliance Supervisor is responsible for all Fibre contract deliveries ensuring they are delivered as planned by Telent suppliers. This includes confirmation of resource on site, dealing with any in-life issues and flagging any requirement for jeopardy management. You will see all programmed works through to finish on site. You will support Fibre Install gangs employed by Telent’s suppliers locally to ensure all safety, compliance and quality standards are met through a defined audit and inspection regime as set out by the Infrastructure Services business. As the Field Compliance Supervisor, you will also be Telent’s customer ambassador in the field supporting all contract deliveries by enabling the programming of all works in the Telent workstack through the resolution of access and fluidity issues. Field Compliance Supervisor - What you’ll do: Telent Suppliers - ensure Suppliers have the agreed gangs on the park on a daily basis and all programmed work is attended. Safety and Streetworks – ensure that safe working practices are adopted as the top priority for all activities undertaken and that they are supported by all relevant, correctly completed documentation. Quality – ensure suppliers work within the ‘right first time’ quality culture of tIS and that your work is always compliant to Openreach installation standards. Highways Authority Relationships – work with suppliers and Highways Authorities locally to develop an effective working relationship through ensuring consistent high levels of streetworks compliance and reinstatement quality. Access – deal with members of the public and local businesses to resolve any local access issues. Joint Street Meetings - attend Joint Site Meetings with asset owners to progress hot jobs and suppliers of specialist services e.g. directional drilling, to unlock fluidity. Urgent Safety Issues – make sure that you are available on the phone to support 2-hour and 4-hour defects as and when they are raised Review site set up photographs on all current day jobs under your remit to gauge high level signing, lighting and guarding compliance and where appropriate give ‘permission to proceed’. Ensure that all activities undertaken in the field and at suppliers’ depots are fully compliant with environmental legislation. Undertake assessments of supplier’s operatives against various TAD modules as required. Through regular inspections, confirm that all materials and other issued items are stored in the correct conditions. Storage of waste/spoil must be within licenced parameters. Support the supplier partner and Patch Manager with on-boarding of new Operatives. Complete checks to confirm the suitability and safety of all vehicles deployed on telent work and the eligibility of all drivers. Support the Patch Manager with all jobs that are categorised as ‘temporary works’ are managed under Telent’s temporary works process. BAPA – completion of questionnaires and attendance of any resultant JSMs. Support the Patch Manager in assessing any jobs in a Solo depot marked for closure before it is made inactive. Develop a collaborative working relationship with all customer’s representatives locally through the delivery of outcomes that meet all customer requirements. Support your suppliers in performing to such a level that service credits are not incurred, and the customer is satisfied with Telent’s performance. Work with supplier and PMO to ensure that jobs are programmed for delivery in line with business priorities and validated required by dates. Work with suppliers to ensure expedient resolution of all escalated issues. Work with suppliers, members of the public and local businesses to resolve site access issues as they arise. Manage the wayleave and permission to dig processes locally. Support the supplier partner in the preparation of Variation Order requests and quotations. Through the provision of technical solutions and deployment of civils avoidance techniques maximise fluidity in the telent workstack. Field Compliance - Key requirements: Experience of supervising civils, poling or cable gangs working in the highways network or having held a position of ‘site supervisor’ or similar in the construction or telecoms industry.
