About The Role
Key North Lanarkshire are committed to managing and developing high quality, flexible services which support people with a range of disabilities to enjoy life to the full as active citizens in their own communities.
The successful candidate will join an established and extremely supportive team of Support and Development Managers and Assistant Support and Development Managers based together in our North Lanarkshire Office.
You will be supported by your Support & Development Manager, to take on responsibility for managing a number of established teams and developing new services in a designated area, working collaboratively with their colleagues.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
Applicants must have experience of managing social care services that support disabled people in their own homes and communities and must be able to:
· Demonstrate a commitment to individuals, enabling each person to live a fulfilled life and achieve their dreams and aspirations with a focus on outcomes.
· Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including family carers and other professionals.
· Keep teams motivated and positive and support people through their more difficult times and commit to their learning and development.
· Work positively and flexibly as part of a busy management team, prioritising and delegating effectively and evidencing excellent organisational skills.
· Commit to their own personal learning and development including having, or being willing to work towards gaining, an appropriate qualification.
· Evidence a good level of ICT and rota management skills
SO, IF YOU ARE:
· An experienced manager, at Team Leader level or above, in health or social care and are looking for an exciting and challenging career development opportunity
· Someone who believes that disabled people should have the same opportunities in life as everyone else
· Passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives
· Someone who has the drive and vision to be able to lead and inspire others
· Have or be able to work towards an SVQ3 in Health/Social Care

The post does include some evening and weekend working as well as support to local managers and other workers out with normal working hours.
