We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, passionate and hardworking Drama & AV Technician to join our growing Expressive Arts faculty which comprises our Drama, Music and Art departments across both our Prep and Senior schools.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technician to provide audio-visual and technical support within the Expressive Arts faculty who host a vast number of exciting forward-facing events throughout the school year, including the whole school musical, the Eisteddford, music recitals and open mornings. The role will include lighting and sound design, set up, running and clearing down of school events including assemblies, masses, play, concerts and other events.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of managing stage lighting, using the lighting desk, managing sound mixers, Q-Lab and Apple Mac or similar. In addition, experience of the cabling required to set up lighting and sound systems in various locations. Video editing experience would be advantageous. Flexibility, the ability to work collaboratively as well as on own initiative, to prioritise and deal with varying demands, as well as a sense of humour, are essential.
This role is being offered on a full-time, term time basis although part-time working will be considered for the right candidate. There is also a requirement to attend 5 Inset days, Open day and an additional 9 days to support rehearsals and maintenance of AV equipment out of term time (total of 186 working days).
