Programme Manager - Land-Based Agricultural Engineering

Plumpton College is seeking an ambitious and dynamic Programme Manager for Land-Based Service Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead and innovate in a sector-critical programme. This is an area of growth at Plumpton as we look to scale up to L3 in our provision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and delivery of high-quality vocational and academic training in land-based agricultural engineering or equivalent engineering.
* Manage the programme to ensure compliance with awarding body requirements and enhance student outcomes.
* Coordinate staff and resources to deliver an outstanding learning experience that meets both industry standards and student needs.
* Champion student progress through effective teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
* Ensure strong student engagement, attendance, and achievement across all programme areas.
* Support the continuous professional development of teaching staff and ensure programme files and records are up-to-date.
* Collaborate with employers and other stakeholders to ensure programmes meet industry needs and support future employability.
What You Bring:
* A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in land-based agricultural engineering operations or equivalent.
* A relevant teaching qualification or experience, although we can offer in-house initial teacher training to the right candidate.
* Proven experience in teaching and assessment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and support a high-performing team.
* A passion for student success, with an understanding of individual learning needs.
* Experience using modern technologies in teaching and learning to enhance the educational experience.
* An assessor qualification (TAQA or A1) is desirable, and a desire to contribute to programme development and quality improvement.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with staff, students, and industry stakeholders.
