As the Workshop Manager you will be responsible for:
Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
Team Leadership: Coach, develop, and motivate workshop staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Health & Safety: Prioritize health and safety, implementing and enforcing best practices to minimize risks.
Financial Management: Work within budgetary constraints, monitor expenses, and maximize efficiency.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure optimal equipment performance through regular maintenance, repairs, and calibration.
Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly addressing equipment issues and meeting customer needs.
Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely reports on workshop performance, including damage charges and maintenance activities.
As the Workshop Manager you will have:
Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of powered access equipment and small tools.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, customers, and management.
Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Safety Awareness: Commitment to safety, with a focus on risk assessment and prevention.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, implement solutions, and improve processes.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications:
CITB/NVQ qualification in a relevant field.
CSCS card.
Previous experience in workshop management and mechanical environment.
