We’re looking for a Material Planner who will ensure all material requirements are managed effectively to support our manufacturing needs.
A little more about the role

You will be accountable for the delivery of materials against agreed supplier schedules and create professional working relationships with a range of stakeholders in the supply chain.
Key responsibilities

2. Liaise with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered against the agreed schedules.
3. Coordinate flow of material within the manufacturing facility, controlling the release of material accordingly.
4. Review and communicate any known material shortages to production planning at the earliest convenience to allow for contingency arrangements to be made where possible.
5. Look at ways to offer alternative options to known material shortages.
6. Report the weekly and monthly supplier performance information to both internal and external stakeholders.
7. Monitor material inventory for the business and generate long term material forecasts for suppliers on varying lead time delivery needs.
8. Participate in root cause analysis where supply may be impacted, assisting with helping to improve performance to the agreed standard.
9. Arrange for non-conforming parts to be returned to the suppliers in a timely manner, managing stock adjustments as required.
10. Issue any NCR/PIR requests when needed, using the PLM system.
About You
You will already have experience from a previous material planning role, ideally from a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environment.
You’ll also have a high level of IT literacy and have experience of utilising ERP/MRP systems.
Given the nature of the role, you will need to have effective communication skills and be able to engage with a range of stakeholders to drive process improvement.
What we can offer you
You can expect a competitive starting salary and you will also be entitled to a range of other benefits including 25 days annual leave in addition to public holidays, as well as a holiday purchase scheme. In addition, 6% employer contribution, life assurance and private health cover.
