Working hours: Monday - Thursday, 6am - 3pm & 6am - 2pm on Friday's

To drive 7.5T vehicles and carry out the various services associated with the role. For example but not limited to food collections, bulky collections, bin deliveries or Mini-Sweeper driving, as per the Contract requirement and specification, across any rounds required. There will be a core role from the above as specified in your contract of employment. Prepared to work other jobs when vehicle is off the road, for example driving 3.5T vans for street cleansing or bin deliveries, or non-driving roles in cleansing or collections. Able to drive Vehicles up to 7.5T and lead a round for the safe and successful completion of the daily operations
You’ll be entrusted to:
* To carry out both scheduled & responsive refuse & recycling collections on a daily basis with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job
* To understand Contract requirements, the specification of all refuse, recycling, food & garden. Understand what waste can and can’t be collected in each bin
* To work as a team to ensure service is complete both on your allocated round, but also to support other rounds if and when asked / required
*. To ensure minimum bins are missed on the round and all properties are correctly recorded as collected / not presented / contaminated etc on either Paperwork or tablet (if applicable)
* To works on one’s own initiative or as part of a team undertaking street cleaning duties to include litter picking, removal of animal fouling, and the sweeping of channels, pavements, and hard landscape areas using broom, barrow, powered pedestrian street cleaning machines, non HGV road sweeping vehicles, HGV road sweeping vehicles, and associated hand tools. (if applicable)
* Understand any missed bins must be collected asap when made aware of a justified missed bin being reported by a supervisor
* To tag all bins in the lead up to Christmas to advise residents of any service changes as part of contractual pay
* To tag all bins when required ad hoc throughout the year
* Responsible for collection of all electronic devices left out by residents in accordance with the Mid Sussex Waste policy. Must also ensure these are correctly emptied out of the cage by the loaders at the end of the day with electricals being taken out of the bags and put in the Skip on site, and batteries & vapes being taken out of the bags and placed in the correct labelled plastic containers. (if applicable)

* Must remain up to date with your CPC training and to notify us if your CPC is looking likely to expire
