Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Speaker Manager and Events Coordinator to join our team. In this exciting role, you will play a key part in event logistics, focusing on speaker acquisition and management, supporting operations, and overseeing the CRM. You will work closely with the Head of Operations, Marketing and Sales Team, providing critical support to ensure everything runs smoothly across multiple events (physical and web-based) worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Speaker Acquisition & Management: Source, liaise, and manage speakers and speaker content for our in-person and online events, ensuring a diverse and engaging speaker line-up. Coordinate speaker schedules, requirements, and communications leading up to and during the events.
- Operations Support to Head of Operations: Assist the Head of Operations with event planning, including logistics, scheduling, and onsite coordination. Support the operational execution of events, ensuring that all event elements are organised and delivered smoothly.
- CRM Management: Oversee the CRM system, ensuring all data is up-to-date and properly managed. Support the Marketing team with attendee, speaker, and partner management, ensuring smooth data flow and communication.
- Onsite Presence: Be present at key events in Chicago, London, and Sydney, supporting the team, liaising and managing speakers and speaker content, and ensuring that the event experience is seamless for all involved.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the events, marketing, and sales teams to ensure consistency across all event functions and to support the broader goals of the organisation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in event coordination would be a bonus, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in speaker and content management and CRM systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with speakers, partners, and colleagues.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate needs and resolve issues independently.
- Ability to travel to Chicago, London, and Sydney for events (all travel expenses covered). Events are 3 days per region, each event is held once a year.
- A positive attitude and a love for working in a fun, collaborative, and dynamic team environment.
