Job Description:
Company: Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an F-18 Aircraft Avionics Technician.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
2. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
3. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
4. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
5. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
6. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
7. Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years experience as an Aircraft Mechanic
2. Minimum of 3 years experience with Aircraft Avionics
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
1. Experience with F/A-18 and/or EA-18G platform
2. FAA Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.
3. Experience with composite repair and paint
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Summary pay range: 63,750 - 86,250
