Due to staff leave cover, this is an opportunity if you are looking to expand experience of working in an NHS secondary care setting. The role is within adult community mental health services in the West Berks locality.
If you are an enthusiastic HCPC registered practitioner psychologist who has BPS accredited doctoral level qualifications and you would like to work in a supportive, friendly, multi-disciplinary environment, then this post would interest you.
Main duties of the job
1. Liaise with the CMHT and coordinate care as may be appropriate for clients.
2. Operate as the Lead Professional for the clients on their caseload and deliver expert assessments (including risk assessments), formulations and psychological treatments.
3. Work within evidence-based frameworks and the principles of recovery to support clients and reduce dependence on secondary care mental health services.
4. Provide support to Staff within the IPT and the CMHT and participate in clinical quality assurance and learning programmes.
5. Be aware of and keep updated on research and advances in psychological therapies.
Person Specification
Experience
* Effective and competent interpersonal, influencing, communication, observation and reporting skills.
Travel
* Candidate should be able to drive and own a car for work purposes.
Qualifications
* Qualification in Mental Health Nursing.
* HCPC registration.
