Overview: As an Advanced Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality services to children, young people, and their families. You will act as a lead professional, providing expert knowledge, guidance, and support to colleagues, while managing complex caseloads. This role requires a strong commitment to safeguarding, collaborative working, and improving outcomes for children and families. Key Requirements: Qualifications: A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England. Experience : Significant post-qualification experience (3 years), particularly in childrens services, and a proven ability to handle complex and high-risk cases. Knowledge: A thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures (e.g., Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children). Strong grasp of child development, attachment theory, and the impact of trauma. Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong ability to manage competing demands and remain resilient under pressure. It is essential that all candidates are car drivers and have access to a vehicle Benefits: We have a stable, permanent team manager and service manager group, you will be supported in your practice by your manager and receive regular reflective supervision. We have a good range of support services including a Family Group Conference Service, family support workers within teams and an extensive Early Help Offer to support the children and families of our city and the work you do. We offer: an initial 3-month minimum contract to create stability for our children and young people up to £42 per hour ltd, based on experience A 35-hour week.
