We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Revenues and Benefit Contact Centre as a Customer Advisor 1.
This opportunity presents one vacancy, working 37 hours per week.
Working patterns are (These alternate and change weekly):
1. 8:00 – 16:30, Monday to Thursday and Friday 8:30 – 16:00
2. OR
3. 9:30 – 17:30, Monday to Thursday and Friday 9:00 – 16:30.
The Contact Centre is extremely customer focused, providing support and advice to residents and businesses of the East Riding.
The Customer Advisor role ensures that every customer contact counts. We require someone with excellent communication and organizational skills, along with a good level of interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Successful candidates will be working within a team, demonstrating commitment and flexibility while dealing with complex legislation and procedures.
Proficient keyboard skills are essential, along with a commitment to high standards of customer service. You must be able to communicate effectively and courteously while working as part of a busy team, attaining daily key performance indicators.
Experience in council tax, benefits, and council rents is not essential as training will be provided; however, a demonstration of some knowledge in any of those areas would be greatly beneficial to your application.
Working in a busy telephone environment is also an advantage but not essential.

Home & Office working
(At least 2 days every 4 weeks, office-based) at County Hall, Beverley. A desk space will be required for home working.
Please note: This is a career graded post. There will be the opportunity to move through the grades once eligible criteria have been met. This role involves working from home with days in the office environment.
