We are pleased to be able to offer exciting opportunities for conscientious, hard-working, caring individuals to join our MRI team as an Imaging assistant., Imaging assistants will be responsible for providing a range of personal care needs to patients and for carrying out a range of clinical duties under the direction and supervision of a registered healthcare professional.
Such tasks may include:
Assisting radiographers working in the clinical area
Welcoming patients and preparing them for their scans. This will include performing the initial MRI safety checks with the patients.
Preparing the scanner, organisation, cleaning and preparation of equipment.
Supporting patients before during and after their scans making a positive difference to their experience in the MRI department.
Stock control.
Administrative and clerical roles associated with our various IT systems such as eCare and CRIS
We currently have 2 MRI scanners at the West Suffolk site and delighted to announce the opening of our Newmarket CDC where we are installing an additional MRI scanner. This is due to open in Autumn 2024. We will provide MRI scanning services to the local community between the hours of 8am-8pm. We are looking for additional staff to support this service at the Newmarket CDC, as well as to support staff at the West Suffolk Hospital. We would be happy to consider part time and full-time applicants.

Imaging assistants will have varied role within the team from delivering personal care needs to clerical and administrative duties.
