We are looking for a conscientous and motivated Housekeeper to join Fleming Ward in Wrexham. Fleming Ward is a 29-bedded Medical ward that specialises in respiratory medicine. The ward has a very motivated and enthusiastic team with a clear vision of providing the best possible care to the people in our care. Your role will be to work alongside them and will be integral to the smooth running of a very busy ward. Fleming ward also boasts a close relationship with our respiratory high care unit, Acton Ward which provides care to patients who require Acute Non Invasive Ventilation (NIV), Domiciliary NIV and Domiciliary CPAP. Opportunities to rotate into this area will be offered during the supernumerary stage of employment. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Main duties of the job The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward Team. The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities / services and for ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. The main element of the role is to support the ward manager in the running of the unit, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs, as determined by the Ward Manager/Deputy Ward Manager or Nurse in Charge. The post holder will be required to work closely with contractors and support services departments. The post holder will monitor quality standards and rectify deficiencies in liaison with the Ward Manager.
