If you’re passionate about making a difference and working collaboratively in a values-driven organisation, this role is your opportunity to shine About the Role Based at our Berryfields scheme in Colchester, you’ll support customers in developing life skills, gaining independence, and working toward recovery. While we don’t provide personal care, we offer housing-related support tailored to individual needs. This is a rota-based role, with 7.5-hour shifts that include evenings and weekends, ensuring our service is there when it’s needed most. What You’ll Do No two days are the same, but a typical day might start with checking in on customers to discuss their goals and any support they need. You’ll help with practical tasks like budgeting, accessing benefits, or preparing for training and education opportunities. Later, you might liaise with partner agencies to arrange specialist support or attend a team meeting to review progress. Throughout the day, you’ll ensure records are updated, safeguarding concerns are acted upon, and customers are empowered to take the next steps toward independence. You’ll bring: Experience using support planning and risk assessment tools. Knowledge of safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health & safety. Strong communication, report writing, and IT skills. Resilience, adaptability, and confidence to lone work when needed. A QCF Level 2 (or higher) in Health & Social Care—or the willingness to work toward it.
