Varied hours per week
The Mental Health team would like to offer Approved Mental Health Professionals the opportunity to support the Isle of Wight AMHP Service through our casual bank list. We are looking for Approved Mental Health Professionals who are approved by a Local Authority, or willing to work to be approved by the Isle of Wight Council, to cover the function of executing Mental Health Act Assessments in a variety of settings.
This post is zero-hours and would suit AMHPs who work for another Authority but would like some experience working on an island, or for AMHPs that have not practiced for a while but would be willing to undertake the training to become approved by the Isle of Wight Council.
The ethos of the post is to cover AMHP shifts in case of vacancies or sickness as part of the 24-hour on-call rota, including evening and weekend hours and bank holidays.
We will provide you with an induction to the systems used and resources of the island before you will be expected to work on your own, in addition to support from the AMHP manager to discuss any areas of practice concerns.
Post incentives:
Casual contract via recruitment process.
Standby fee of £85.00 plus expenses for every shift, regardless of whether any callout occurs.
Any work completed when called out is paid at the rate of £22.93 per hour (Grade 11c).
Mainland AMHPs may be eligible to receive travel expenses to the Island.
