Capita is the lead partner in the Fisher Training consortium who aim to transform and modernise the Royal Navy’s shore-based training across 16 sites in the UK under Project Selborne.
In this role you will provide administration support to the programme facilitation and training teams as well as supporting during selected practical phases of training.
This role is part-time - 30 hours a week working 8am - 2pm 5 days a week.

Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
* Creating and updating course details to help Instructors.
* Recording trainee arrivals and absences.
* Arranging travel and accommodation for external training, including flights, car rentals, and hotel bookings.
* Handling trainee failures and reassignments with the Course Manager/Trainer.
* Recording trainee pass/fail results and printing and scanning exam papers into systems.
* Processing trainee and trainer feedback forms.
* Conducting post-course discussions and updating trainee feedback and the Quality Improvement Plan.
Please note there will be a requirement to support during practical training scenarios - this will involve covering part of a 10 hour shift so some flexibility will be needed at times.
What we’re looking for:
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Previous experience in an Administration/Coordination role, preferably within an education setting.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and experience of using databases.
* Ability to prioritise tasks when required.
* Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
* Flexibility to support on practicals where required.
* Must be able to be security cleared to UK SC level.
About Selborne
Selborne is a wide scale, 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training. The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN. The consortia of partners known as Team Fisher includes Raytheon UK, Fujitsu, and University of Lincoln together with 14 other UK-based suppliers.
