Job Description
* Manage the complete procurement lifecycle for IT and professional services
* Develop and implement effective category management strategies
* Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement legislation and best practices
* Liaise with suppliers to negotiate contracts and secure the best possible terms
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand and meet their procurement needs
* Monitor market trends to inform procurement strategies
* Manage supplier performance and relationships to ensure service excellence
The Successful Applicant
A successful Category Manager should have:
* Proven experience in category management and procurement
* Strong negotiating and influencing skills
* Sound understanding of procurement laws and regulations
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* In-depth knowledge of IT/Professional Services procurement
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
