Our client, a reputable and established organisation based in Brackley, is seeking a *** Warehouse Operative *** to support the efficient and professional running of their warehouse operations. This role plays an essential part in ensuring accurate, timely, and secure order fulfilment while maintaining high service standards and contributing to the wider team.
* Salary: £24,000 - £25,500 per annum (dependent on experience and forklift licence status)
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30 (occasionally 09:15-17:45, once per month)
Key responsibilities for the Warehouse Operative job:
Picking & Packing - Goods Out
* Prepare customer orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and appropriate packaging.
* Generate picking tickets and labels, using warehouse systems and scanners.
* Perform independent checks before dispatch to ensure order completeness and secure transit.
Goods In
* Receive and inspect deliveries, logging stock accurately and escalating discrepancies.Store items in appropriate locations and maintain bin location accuracy within the system.
Returns Handling
* Process returns following SOPs, distinguishing between damage and no longer required items.
* Ensure correct paperwork and restocking procedures are followed.
General Warehouse Support
* Collaborate across teams to support both machine and parts logistics.
* Perform basic inspections of goods and light assembly tasks as needed.
* Adhere to ISO, Health & Safety, and internal operating procedures.
Forklift Use
* Operate forklifts in line with legal and company standards (if licensed).
* Candidates without a current licence should be willing to train.
Candidate Profile:
* Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a warehouse role (FMCG or similar fast-paced environment ideal).
* Comfortable using warehouse software and handling inventory systems.
* Confident with light assembly and working with hand tools.
* GCSE or equivalent education.
* Forklift licence preferred - or a strong willingness to learn.
* Reliable, flexible, and a proactive team player with strong organisational skills.
