Business Unit - Nestlé Purina Job Title - Warehouse Lead Operator Location - Sudbury, Suffolk Shift Pattern - 42 hours per week - 2 days followed by 2 nights and then 4 days off (Days 06:00-18:00, Nights 18:00-06:00) Salary - £43474.00 plus companywide benefits Position Summary We are now looking for a Warehouse Lead Operator to be responsible for the organisation of the team and the production delivery plan, you will actively coach and build the competence building of your shift. As a Lead Operator you will also be assigned to production line, ensuring that the production plan is fully adhered to in alignment with safety and quality compliance and legal requirements. A day in the life of a Lead Operator - Manage the team to work within safe conditions, driving a safe, zero loss culture to drive zero accidents and zero waste. - Working with our Quality teams to eliminate potential defects and ensuring perfect pallets to our customers. - Runing the daily scheduling plan and assigning loads to correct destination accounting for export, UK and direct to customer deliveries. - Manage the transport loads with our central and local planner to ensure the efficient ways of working to basic LEAN manufacturing principals. - Develop organisational capability through coaching others and sharing best practices with the teams across shifts and site What will make you successful To be successful in this key role we expect you to demonstrate a proactive initiative mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
