The Job Role: IceBlue Marketing and Design Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, organised and creative individual to work within the Events and Sales department. Working directly with the Finditin Network’s Head of Events and Operations, the varied role will have aspects to assist in all areas of event support, marketing and sales connected to the Finditin Network and IceBlue. Working Location: Office-based working at the Kidderminster office in the probation period, with the potential for hybrid/remote home working. Travel within the midlands area will be core to the role with some early starts or later finishing times on event days, therefore own transport and flexibility is essential to the role. EVENT CO-ORDINATION Primary responsibilities are to: support all internal and external event planning, strategy and development of the business event programme across a large business network. confidently liaise and communicate with event and project stakeholders and partners, both in the private and public sector. assist with the set-up of seminars, conferences, workshops and breakfast or all-day events, both virtual and in-person. help implement and maintain all event plans and other schedule/planning documents associated with events. help create delegate/media packs and coordinate marketing materials for events and subsequent meetings. effectively communicate and coordinate event delegates, speakers, exhibitors, stakeholders and partners in the lead up, during and post-event. support event management with the maintenance of budgets, invoicing, payments and working to deadlines. work with venues on numbers, catering, equipment requirements and set up. travel to event venues across a variety of local areas and to play an active role in the logistics and set up. MARKETING AND SALES ASSISTANCE Primary responsibilities are to: work with the events and marketing/comms managers to help create effective and fresh marketing campaigns. make website amendments and suggesting improvements. maintain branding through marketing materials, presentations and digital & social media. format PowerPoint presentations and assisting senior managers with any projects. give accurate information and building rapport with clients. communicate effectively with managers and team members. being confident to make support and sales phone calls. promote sales opportunities connected to events and a large, online business network. understand and help to achieve income revenue targets for events, advertising and other sales connected to a large business network, as agreed with your line manager. Client Support/IT provide telephone and email support to clients and members of a large, online business network. support clients with IT/equipment in the lead up and during online events. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate will: Have at least one years’ experience working within a similar role. Be detail oriented, with excellent organisational and administrative skills. Be professional at all times and have excellent time-management skills whilst working to strict deadlines. Be self-motivated, proactive and able to work in a position that requires the ability to be reactive and quick-thinking when challenges arise. Be confident when talking to individuals at various levels, both within IceBlue and external partners/clients. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Have good IT skills: Ability to use new technology, as well as standard office programmes: Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint. Take an interest in identifying business leads and sales opportunities connected to events and the business network. Be a professional, friendly and reliable individual who works well in a team and thrives on delivering successful projects. Be prepared to develop their skills, competencies and performance through training and participation where suggested. Have a full driving licence and vehicle, with the willingness to travel. Be flexible with working hours when needed for events and meetings. Have a set of high personal standards, a hard-working ethic and willingness to help with other areas of the business when needed.
