Our Finance team has a fantastic Fixed Term opportunity for Land Rights & Consent Junior Support Officers to join them in Salford for 24 months.
Our Role
This highly effective, busy team deals with hundreds of queries per week regarding the statutory payments that we make for our apparatus on private land, as well as many other queries that are raised by our grantors and customers. We provide vital support for the wider land rights teams and provide first line support to our operations, civils, arboriculture, and legal teams.
The Junior Support Officer role will assist the team in ensuring that our statutory payments, legal consents, and claims are processed accurately, effectively, efficiently, and that both the business and the Land Rights & Consents team is fully supported when data pertaining to land rights is required. The role holder will be responsible for the general administrative requirements of the team such as retrieving, scanning, copying, emailing, and refiling of consent documents, dealing with post and basic general enquiries, stationery and PPE orders, and all other tasks essential to supporting the team.
Effectively support the needs of LR&C team as required which may include:
1. Respond to and record general enquiries received via telephone, mail and email from multiple mailboxes.
2. Set up jobs in our Case Management System and assign to the relevant officer/surveyor.
3. Liaise directly with Grantors who contact the team.
4. Document management - maintenance of over 30,000 deeds and over 120,000 wayleave agreements.
5. Title research for operational property.
6. Recording of new applications for street closures and objecting where required – liaising with any internal or external parties this may affect.
7. Investigating returned and stale cheques.
8. Assist with the quarterly audits of wayleave agreements.
9. Data entry.
Who we are looking for
1. GCSE’s in Maths and English grade A*-C or level 4-9 or equivalent.
2. Working Knowledge of the electricity industry would be desirable.
3. Good administrative and analytical skills.
4. Knowledge of SAP or equivalent financial systems (Desirable).
5. Demonstrable IT skills especially with MS.
