The Role As a Risk & Quality Supervision Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional service by our Remortgage & Conveyancing teams in Stockport and Leeds. You'll lead and inspire a team of dedicated Risk & Quality Supervisors, driving quality assurance, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment. What You'll Do Lead and empower a talented team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring the highest standards of quality. Be a champion for continuous improvement, implementing and refining quality checks and processes. Mentor, coach, and develop individual team members, fostering a supportive and collaborative culture. Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment where everyone can thrive. This is a permanent, full-time position (Monday-Friday) at our modern Stockport office. After initial training, the role will by hybrid, two days a week minimum in the office. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a high-performing independent team of Risk & Quality Supervisors, overseeing the development, implementation, and enhancement of risk management and quality assurance frameworks across the business, including remortgage pre-completion checks, title checks, and file audits. Oversee team performance, including workload distribution, productivity, quality, and adherence to SLAs. Co-ordinate assurance activities ensuring team outputs remain aligned to all required standards, including CQS, Client Service Standards, SRA Rules & Guidance, etc. Analyse risk and quality data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for continuous improvement, providing feedback and recommendations to senior stakeholders, including the Executive, on necessary actions such as training or process enhancements. Work with Operations to identify new solutions and address risk findings ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively. Provide expert guidance and support to team members and Operations on complex risk and quality queries, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Collaborate with senior leadership to align risk and quality strategies with operational goals, building and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships to establish and embed a strong quality culture across the firm. Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting on quality performance, presenting key findings to senior leadership. Manage team resources, including scheduling, absence, and training. Conduct performance reviews, address performance issues, and support team members' professional development. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including participation in relevant processes such as salary reviews, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures. The Person This role would suit an experienced risk manager, risk professional, senior fee earner or a conveyancing or remortgage manager who can demonstrate an interest in and experience of dealing with risk and quality. Experience of managing a team and the ability to evidence excellent people management skills or completed internal Management Development Programme. Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards desired but not essential. Resilience with the ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to create strategies and plan. Ability to generate an attitude of enthusiasm in self and others regarding change and challenge.
