The purpose of the role is crucial in driving sales and expanding our market presence by leveraging technical expertise and sales acumen. The main duties include: Sales and Business Development Develop and maintain relationships with our customer base, by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed targets Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals and product demonstrations Research competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators Customer Relationship Management Address any customer concerns by maintaining regular customer contact. Ensure any customer complaints are brought to a satisfactory conclusion Technical Expertise Conduct technical assessments and site visits to assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions Provide technical support and guidance to customers, helping them understand the product specifications and capabilities. Documentation and Reporting: Utilise the internal sales I.T. systems to support the sales function, costings, quotations and orders Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project progress. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts and market analysis. You must have an engineering degree or equivalent technical/engineering background, as well as a valid driving licence. It is essential you have strong technical knowledge of heavy engineering products and solutions, and must be able to read/understand technical engineering drawings, both metric and imperial. As this role is customer facing, you should have the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
