GMC registered and practising medical practitioner with experience at a Consultant or General Practitioner level and a current licence to practise Membership/fellowship of Royal College relevant to the role Able to evidence achievement of successfully initiating and managing change Is politically astute with knowledge of national and regional decision making and influencing bodies. and ability to manage diverse opinions Can demonstrate subject matter knowledge in relation to national policy and strategy relating to the role Significant experience of senior clinical leadership/management in one or more of the following NHS settings: urgent and emergency care services; acute medicine; primary care; or in a national or regional or ICB role Experience of contributing to or leading strategic clinical discussions in a health and social care network or system Able to evidence significant and extensive experience, expertise and knowledge across relevant areas of patient care Significant experience of working with senior clinical, executive and senior management Teams to influence policy and bring about new models of practice and significant change programmes in patient services Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Can evidence innovative and strategic thinking ability Can evidence strong analytic, numeric and critical reasoning skills with a patient outcome focus Can evidence a solution-focused style The full person specification is included in the job description.
