SEND And Inclusion – Engaging with Children, Young People, and Families
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our SEND Service for a passionate and dedicated SEND Service Manager to join our supportive team dedicated to providing high quality support and services to children, young people and families.
The (0-25) SEND Service aims to enhance outcomes for children, young people, and families by providing inclusive support within their communities. Our goal is to ensure access to support where its needed and eliminate barriers where appropriate.
As Service Manager, you will provide overall leadership and management within the statutory service, overseeing SEND Team Managers, Education Officers, and all SEND Lead Workers, ensuring effective line management and support. You will be responsible for making assessment and placement decisions for children and young people with an EHCP in Wiltshire, as well as strategically planning and managing the SEND service staffing budget. You will lead and contribute to multi-agency initiatives across the local area, playing a key role in the operational Chairing and oversight of SEND Discussion & Decision (DaD) Groups.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader with a strong background in SEND Services. Our ideal candidate will hold a degree in a relevant subject or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience. A QCF level 7 in leadership and management is essential, along with significant experience of working in partnership with children, young people and their families, particularly those with complex SEND needs. A proven track record of managing teams, directing the work of others, and overseeing performance management effectively will also be essential for this role.
