Description and Requirements
At Lenovo we are looking for our new Senior Advisory Solutions Architect. They will identify customers’ business challenges and articulate how highly complex technology solutions can help solve these, leveraging Subject Matter Experts within and outside of the Lenovo Professional Services organization as required.
Our Solution Architects lead all aspects of the development of project deliverables including solutions, ROI/Financial analysis and organizational impacts. The Solution Architect effectively and accurately scopes customers’ projects and identifies and positions follow-on work with customers and stakeholders. The position requires a team player that seeks to supplement their skills using project experience, self-study, and ongoing training. They will be expected to assist and guide more junior resources through their problem resolution processes.
The ideal candidate will bring a “drive for results” attitude to construct innovative value and solutions for our customers. Exposure to larger organizations and experience in both public and private companies are essential, as is consulting and or senior management experiences.
Responsibilities Include:
* Building personal relationships with Sales SMEs and C-Level customers to ensure early engagement in customers’ problem-and-solution determination process.
* Representing service offerings during the sales cycle, including project scoping, proposal development, and presentations to clients, ensuring customer expectations are appropriately set and managed, including HCI, Storage, AI, Hybrid Cloud, and all aspects of DC Transformation, including data migration, Edge, VDI, and IoT.
* Being a technology and solution thought leader and evangelist.
* Facilitating strategy, roadmap, design, and planning workshops.
* Assisting with the creation and development of solution offerings, and participating and supporting in sales education, marketing activities, etc.
* Supporting the building and leveraging of an ecosystem of internal technical specialists and partner capability to design end-to-end solutions for our customers.
* Maintaining a broad knowledge and understanding of the current and anticipated future state of the IT infrastructure marketplace including IT infrastructure trends, technologies, and standards.
* Training and mentoring consultants and sales specialists in core solution areas.
Qualifications/Skills
* Has at least 10 years of experience with high-end data center technologies and IT industry.
* Has in-depth experience in at least one of the following, with broad awareness of others: HCI Solutions, Storage, Data migration, Hybrid cloud, and AI.
* Ability to work effectively cross-culturally across teams.
* Undergraduate BSEE or BSCE degree, or equivalent.
* Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation.
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
