The Finance team at Ocado Logistics is a critical partner to the business, delivering insights, performance analysis, and reporting to support and shape key decisions. As a Finance Manager – Fulfilment Operations and Service Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Ocado’s operational teams, working closely with Regional General Managers, the Managing/Operational Director of Logistics, and cross-functional stakeholders.
You will lead a team of two Finance Business Partners, focusing on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and delivering actionable insights into operational costs and performance across Ocado Logistics' fulfilment operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Leadership: Provide financial insight, support, and challenge to fulfilment operational teams, building effective relationships with senior managers and stakeholders.
* Business Partnering: Partner with senior leadership, including the Fulfilment Operations Director, to influence decision-making on operational efficiencies, commercial contracts, pay reviews, and business cases.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the operational annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, challenging assumptions, managing risk communication, and ensuring cost allocations between Ocado Retail and Morrisons.
* Performance Reporting: Oversee periodic management accounts, analysis, and commentary, presenting results to the Head of Finance and fulfilment operations leadership.
* Data-Driven Insights: Develop detailed operational cost analyses to identify opportunities and risks, providing actionable recommendations.
* People Leadership: Manage and develop two Finance Business Partners, ensuring high-quality work and fostering professional growth.
* Process Improvement: Continuously enhance financial controls, reporting accuracy, and efficiency, collaborating with finance excellence teams to represent business needs.
* KPI Development: Support the development of operational drivers and metrics to align with wider business KPIs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain and enhance relationships with key operational and financial stakeholders, including unionised and non-unionised teams.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA accountant with +3 years PQE.
* Strong academic background (minimum 2:1 degree).
* Demonstrated experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering.
* Advanced Excel skills.
Proven ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
