Throughout the programme, the apprentice will be based within the Reinsurance Life & Health Team and receive on-the-job guidance and support from qualified professionals whilst studying for their Level 3 Insurance Practitioner qualification with Skills Edge. The goal of the programme is to give newcomers a successful start into the dynamic and demanding world of insurance and reinsurance. The apprentice will be employed on a temporary contract for 18-24 months with an expected start date of September 2024. About the Team As a team, we are the guardians of the data and cash and the first line in managing data before it flows through the Swiss Re landscape. You will be part of an experienced and highly motivated team comprising of Technical Accountants handling reinsurance premium & claims accounts for the UK and Ireland market. Our responsibilities include regular interactions with our colleagues across the region and we collaborate daily to deliver the best outcomes and value to our clients. About the Role You will be responsible for the day-to-day support of the team dealing with accuracy and integrity of premium and claims data bookings and ensure correct procedures and controls are followed, including documentation, and evidencing of activity. • Time and support will be given to candidates to pursue internal training. • Time and support will be given to candidates to pursue external training (Level 3 Insurance Practitioner Course). It is training, which is received by the apprentice, during the apprentice’s normal working hours, for the purpose of achieving the knowledge, skills and behaviors of the approved apprenticeship referenced in the apprenticeship agreement. The gross annual base salary for this role is 21 000 GBP full time.
