Liaising and aligning with Quality Manager to ensure consistency of approach to deliver quality systems, procedures and processes at both framework and project level; enabling business delivery of a quality service which is demonstrative of commitment to continuous improvement. Accountabilities: - Ensure QA and QC compliance with legal requirements, client standards, European and British Standards, non-European standards, and project procedures. - Manage Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors to ensure adoption of pragmatic approach to assurance of Quality on all phases of the Project, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning, taking cognisance of commercial, schedule and budget constraints. - Resource Management - Ensure that the Project Quality organisation has the capability, in terms of skill set, resource levels and procedures. - Management of Internal and External Audits, both on and off site, in accordance with the Project Audit Schedule. - Management of Supply Chain Quality, inclusive of all pre-qualification assessments, supply chain audits, supply chain performance and general day-to-day management of the supply chain. - Develop project-specific operating procedures in conjunction with the Project Manager where necessary, to interface effectively with the Client and Alliance partners. - Monitor the selection and management systems of suppliers and subcontractors as part of Vendor assessment. - Manage QC/Inspection at suppliers to confirm that goods are in accordance with order and specification requirements and to prevent defective materials and equipment being sent to site. Essential: - Professional / academic qualification associated with Quality management, Construction, M&E welding/heavy fabrication. - Membership of an appropriate Quality professional body (CQI preferred) - Auditor trained (IRCA Lead preferred) - Experience in the application of relevant quality / environmental / occupational safety management system standards (ISO 9001/ISO 14001, 45001, AQAP, AWE mandatory requirements. Knowledge of the requirements of GS-R-3 (management systems for nuclear installations) - Experienced in investigation to determine root cause, learning, proposed improvements and verification of implementation of preventative measures to prevent recurrence of failure. - Experienced in implementation of risk-based QA/QC arrangements and controls proportionate to the assigned Quality Grade and the link to maintaining Nuclear Safety. - Strong background and experience in Fabrication, Welding and NDE to National and International standards such as ASME and other MoD/Nuclear related specifications and review of associated Lifetime records to verify compliance. - Nuclear Project delivery and construction experience - Moderate - extensive experience as a Quality Manager/Engineer Our Culture Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
