An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse to work within the Older Adults Mental Health Directorate.
The post is based within the Aberdeen City Community Mental Health Teams providing care for patients with Functional and Organic illnesses.
We are looking for motivated skilled Practitioners who will be able to carry out first referrals either within the hospital clinic or home setting whilst also managing their own clinical caseload with good assessment skills, formulating care plans and evaluating care. The Band 6 Nurse will be able to work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and liaise with other agencies as well as their own caseload. The Band 6 CMHN will assist with the supervision of the Band 5’s and Band 3 support workers in the team. They will also assist and deputise for the Band 7 with the overall running of the team. The Band 6 will be part of therapeutic groups ran within the service.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse preferably with Old Age Psychiatry and Community experience. The successful candidate will be a car driver with access to a car.
Interviews will take place week commencing 6th of January 2025.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
