We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Payroll Assistant to join a well-established company in Coventry on a 3-month temporary contract, with the opportunity for future permanency. This role offers a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum (permanent equivalent), and a fantastic chance to gain valuable experience within a professional and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with processing end-to-end payroll for employees.
* Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all payroll data is up-to-date.
* Ensure compliance with tax, National Insurance, and pension contributions.
* Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and management.
* Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate data flow.
* Support the preparation of reports and reconciliation of payroll data.
* Assist in the management of employee benefits and deductions.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in a payroll or finance-related role is essential.
* Strong understanding of payroll processes and tax regulations.
* Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll software.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
