Technical Services Manager - Reading Area\n £43,000 to £48,000 per annum\n Permanent | Full Time | Office-Based\n\nWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Services Manager to join a well-established technology solutions provider based near Reading. This role is ideally suited to someone with a solid background in warehouse and repair operations, strong technical knowledge, and team leadership experience.\n\nThe successful candidate will take ownership of managing all technical service operations, including repairs, returns, stock allocation, process improvement, and documentation. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this is a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManage technical support calls and contribute to bid management using your technical expertise.\n\nOversee the allocation, dispatch, and tracking of stock and returned items.\n\nMonitor and update customer systems and ensure accurate Proof of Delivery (POD) records.\n\nLead the triage process for returned equipment and manage the RMA/warranty process.\n\nMaintain tools and test equipment to a high standard.\n\nCarry out diagnostic testing on network and IT equipment.\n\nCreate and maintain process documentation and introduce new procedural improvements as needed.\n\nDevelop training plans and conduct appraisals for team members.\n\nEngage with wider business projects involving stock and warranty management.\n\nLead and manage the technical services team to meet departmental goals.\n\nSkills & Experience:\n\nProven ability to analyse information and solve problems effectively.\n\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\nHigh level of IT literacy, including confidence with Microsoft Office and internal systems.\n\nExcellent time management and organisational skills.\n\nAbility to handle a busy workload and meet tight deadlines under pressure.\n\nPrevious experience in a similar RMA, warehouse, or repair services management role is highly desirable.\n\nPersonal Attributes:\n\nSelf-motivated and proactive.\n\nAble to work independently and use own initiative.\n\nLogical, methodical, and solutions-focused thinker.\n\nA team player who communicates and collaborates well with others.\n\nConfident in decision-making and able to take ownership of problems through to resolution.\n\nIf you're an experienced technical operations professional looking for a new challenge with great scope and responsibility, we'd love to hear from you.\n\nINDAV\n\nPlease apply online with an up to date CV or you can call on (phone number removed) to discuss things further
