Accident Repair MET Technician – Yeovil
Due to continued business growth, we are excited to offer an excellent opportunity to join our team as an Accident Repair MET Technician at our Yeovil site.

About the Role
As an MET/Mechanic at Steer, you will play a key role in repairing vehicles to the highest standards. Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll use your technical skills and attention to detail to ensure every customer receives exceptional service.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out all necessary mechanical and bodywork repairs on allocated jobs.
* Dismantling vehicles for panel repairs and conducting thorough inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work.
* Collaborating with the Parts Team to order necessary replacement parts.
* Reassembling vehicles to pre-accident condition in line with manufacturer specifications and BSI PAS 10125 standards.
* Keeping accurate records of work performed and parts used.
About You
We are looking for an experienced MET Technician or Mechanic with an accident repair background. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently and safely under pressure.
You should be able to:
* Plan your workload effectively to meet agreed timescales.
* Perform work according to manufacturer specifications.
* Work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Maintain high standards and focus on customer satisfaction.
* Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines, including wearing provided PPE and maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
