Quantity Surveyor
At Bellway, we recognize that people are the key to our success and we are working towards becoming a more inclusive employer that values and respects individual differences in the workplace.
There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Building Safety Division, located in Dartford, has been established to rectify possible fire safety issues in the historic Bellway Homes portfolio nationally.
We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join the Division’s Commercial department. The ideal candidate will have experience in the areas of facades, façade remediation and internal/external fire stopping; however, this is not essential. Experience in COINS would also be an advantage but not a necessity as training will be given. Candidates should note that this opportunity is not for a new house build division.
This role of Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing the commercial aspects of each project, including managing costs and ensuring that targets are met by controlling the budgets. The Quantity Surveyor reports to the Commercial Director.

2. Produce bi-monthly valuations and complete ‘cost to complete’ exercises for each site the Quantity Surveyor is responsible for.

5. Complete on-site measurements and assess payments to contractors.
6. Attend and contribute to various meetings, such as pre-order meetings, bi-monthly valuation meetings, and project review meetings with senior management, construction team, as well as external contractors and consultants.
