Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Salary: £85- £100 Competitive, based on experience
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Shrewsbury, working across both primary and secondary settings. The school caters to students with a wide range of SEND needs, providing a nurturing environment for children to thrive academically and emotionally. This long-term temporary role is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support: Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting students with a variety of SEND needs.
* Personalised Learning: Help implement individualised learning plans (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of students.
* Behaviour Support: Provide support with behaviour management, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to track and support student progress.
* Student Welfare: Assist with the social, emotional, and academic development of students, fostering independence and confidence.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience: Experience working with SEND students in a classroom setting, ideally within both primary and secondary education.
* Skills: Knowledge of a range of SEND needs and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
* Compassion: Patient, empathetic, and dedicated to making a positive impact on students’ lives.
* Team Player: Able to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
* Safeguarding: Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
