SharePoint Administrator & Developer Work Location: Naval Station Norfolk Active Secret Security clearance required Overview of SharePoint Administrator & Developer Position To evaluate the maintenance community’s communication processes and recommend/build an information technology (IT) tools suite to support the flow of knowledge across all surface ship maintenance stakeholders. They also analyze new technologies and looks for ways to enhance the IT infrastructure, as well as provides training to all users on the functionality of the Surface Team One (ST1) IT Tools Suite. Functions as a ST1 SharePoint Web content manager to develop processes to improve the content and organization of the ST1 Portal. SharePoint Administrator & Developer Key Responsibilities Support of the existing Microsoft SharePoint 2013 instance and applications and development of new SharePoint applications. Assist with customer support and serves as a resource to the KSNs and organizations for SharePoint related issues to support the objectives of the Surface Team One program. Provide daily maintenance of existing ST1 SharePoint Portal: Sites, Sub-Sites, list, libraries, and workflows. Provide planning, designing, configuring, testing, and implementing of SharePoint solutions. Works closely with ST1 stakeholders to elicit and define website content requirements and translate business processes into meaningful business intelligence dashboards and other SharePoint management capabilities. Works with the ST1 knowledge-sharing managers to develop meaningful metrics and monitor activities to produce trend analyses. Able to collect analytical data of the SharePoint Site Collection (trends, usage, storage, etc.). Works closely with the ST1 Knowledge Sharing Managers to document and organize the event data and content. Labels, organizes, and codes files/content for filtering and tracking purposes. Creates ST1 sites, list, libraries, calendars, contact list, links, and other related components as needed. Grants ST1 user account CAC access, managing permission levels, and troubleshooting all access issues. SharePoint Administrator & Developer Skills and Capabilities Expertise in Microsoft Enterprise Content Management and Collaboration technologies (SharePoint Portal Server / Windows SharePoint Services 2013 and higher, SP Online, Office 365, Nintex, SharePoint Designer, and InfoPath. Full knowledge of all SharePoint On-Prem Out-of-the-Box solutions: content types, webparts, search capabilities, group policies/user permission sets and cross-site functions of Microsoft SharePoint. Knowledge of ASP .NET and client web development (XML, XSL, ASP .NET, AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, SOAP, REST, Data Tables). Experience with building and implementing dashboards Experience with Nintex workflows/forms and knowledge of workflow automation logic. Experience with Migration from SharePoint On-Prem to SharePoint Online
