Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering High-Quality Maths Lessons: You will plan and teach engaging and informative Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, adapting your teaching style to meet the needs of different learners and ensuring students of all abilities can access the curriculum.
* Supporting Student Progress: You will regularly assess student progress, identify areas where further support is needed, and implement strategies to ensure that all students are achieving at or above their expected levels.
* Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment that fosters student engagement, motivation, and effective learning.
* Collaborating with Colleagues: Work closely with other teachers in the Maths department and across the school, sharing resources, ideas, and best practices to improve student outcomes.
* Differentiated Teaching: Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to the varying abilities and needs of students, including those with additional learning needs or those who require additional challenge.
* Inspiring a Love for Maths: You will help students develop a passion for Maths, encouraging them to think critically and apply their mathematical knowledge in real-life contexts.
Key Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): You must have QTS and be eligible to work in UK schools.
* Experience: The role is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is essential, and experience preparing students for GCSE Maths is highly desirable.
* Strong Subject Knowledge: You will have an in-depth knowledge of the Maths curriculum and be able to teach topics such as algebra, geometry, statistics, and number theory effectively.
* Commitment to Student Progress: You will have a strong belief in ensuring that all students are challenged and supported to achieve or exceed their expected progress levels.
* Passion for Teaching: You will be enthusiastic about the subject and have the ability to inspire students, helping them to develop a genuine interest in Maths and a love for learning.
