Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a ward manager in Ridgeway as part of the Secure Inpatient Services.
We nurture the recovery journey of anyone in need of our help. In Our Trust, everyone has a say in how they are supported and treated because we listen to every person in our care until they feel understood. Our patients, their families, and carers work together with us towards better mental health.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will need to have a genuine desire to improve the lives of individuals in secure services and will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of issues relating to Mental Health, Learning and Disability or Autism, risk assessment, safety and preventing harm. They should understand the importance of collaboration and service user involvement in recovery. The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in collective leadership and compassionate focused care.
We're committed to new thinking that improves the wellbeing of our region. We connect with our communities and partners to get mental health care right, in areas that really need it.
We won't rest until everyone in our region has the mental health care they need to lead their best possible life.
We fully embrace the Key Principles of "Valuing People" through adopting a positive and proactive approach to Service User involvement and Clinical Governance. In addition, the successful candidates will need to demonstrate sound leadership and managerial qualities.
Experience of Forensic services is desirable; however, it is not essential.
