Contract - Senior Engineer - Control & Instrumentation Manchester / North West Hybrid Working plus occasional site visits Long-term contract £55 - £65 per hr We are looking for a Senior Engineer, Control & Instrumentation, for a long-term contract with a business that supports clients whose expertise spans the chemical, pharmaceutical, process manufacturing, nuclear, and power generation sectors. You will be responsible for providing EC&I services for intricate projects throughout the UK and Europe. With solutions tailored to the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of instrumented electrical power systems, they assist them in realising the full potential of their products. They support clients with feasibility studies to decommissioning, guaranteeing functional safety at every stage and scale of their projects. You will be joining a successful and growing control and instrumentation department, supporting the team that’s been delivering industry-leading design solutions for decades, carrying out any or all stages of C&I design from concept to completion as required by the project. Your organisational and communication skills will help you interact with internal and external contacts to deliver projects within time, quality and, budget constraints. You’ll also work to play an integral role in driving quality in delivery and developing the team as a whole. If you have the following knowledge we would be keen to have a conversation with you: Comprehensive experience in EC&I design and overseeing the delivery of the full project lifecycle Experience operating in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries Knowledge of hazardous area equipment selection and installation design requirements Ideally Degree-qualified in Control and Instrument Engineering Some understanding of pharmaceutical clean room equipment selection and installation design requirements would be preferred Knowledge of safety-related calculations and providing input to safety reviews - HAZOP, LOPA and SIL assessments.
