Our client is a sub-contract engineering company working across several sectors. They require an experienced Production Director to manage all aspects of the production function which includes Machining, Fabrication, Quality and Fitting departments.
What will be expected of you
* Overall responsibility for the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
* Ensure production is achieved to meet targets established within budget.
* To lead and develop an efficient manufacturing operations.
* To ensure all operations in the factory are conducted to comply with current health & safety legislation by maintaining a system of internal auditing and reviews taking action to correct deficiencies.
* To contribute to the business objectives, identifying key developments during the next twelve months and setting targets and action plans to achieve these.
* To regularly review the performance of staff performance appraisals against agreed objectives, identifying any training and development needs.
* Review production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
What we're looking for
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management function within either fabrication or machining.
* Demonstrable experience of leading a manufacturing function with a proven track record in similar role.
* Significant manufacturing experience in an operational management role at a senior level
* Proven project management and build quality experience.
* Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development.
* Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
* Resilient, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
