EQUANS is looking for a Shift Electrical Engineer to join our team at Media City in Salford on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working a shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off. The shifts consist of 2x 7am-7pm followed by 2x 7pm-7am. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
EQUANS are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our existing team on the Media City Contract. This is a permanent full-time role working shifts two days, two nights followed by four days off – 2x 7am-7pm and 2x 7pm-7am. The Engineer's primary role will be all-round engineering support, maintaining the building infrastructure and complying with Health & Safety/building codes of practice.
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all activities allocated to their shift are undertaken with a professional and conscientious outlook regarding the quality of work and Health & Safety, maintaining the 100% uptime criteria. The individual should have a very good track record and should be capable of running the operation whilst on duty, including their respective shift engineer during night shifts and subcontractors. Ensure that any difficulties encountered on engineering activities are reported to the Engineering Supervisor/Manager and that all record-keeping functions are completed daily.
Principal Objectives:
1. Carry out PPM tasks and record and complete relative documents.
2. Carry out reactive callouts on critical systems.
3. Complete compliance testing and minor works to JSP375 standard.
4. Minor installation works and testing.
5. Clear communication of the company vision and objectives ensuring the implementation of new procedures.
6. Promote and drive the company values.
7. Keep up to date with industry developments, driving innovation and effective change.
Impact:
This role will be client-facing, requiring good experience and excellent communication skills to ensure all operational and contractual obligations are adhered to, mitigating risk to EQUANS.
Complexity:
We are looking for a confident, experienced, and driven individual with a strong background and good planning and organizational skills.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
1. City and Guilds training.
2. Strong communication skills.
3. Good experience of electrical maintenance and repairs.
4. Previous AP/AE experience and qualifications preferred but not essential.
