The Role
Phoenix Futures is looking to recruit a passionate and solution focussed Criminal Justice Recovery Workers as part of our Lambeth Service. Working in Partnership with SLaM increasing our support offer for clients who are involved in the Criminal Justice system and are wanting to access Treatment and Support for Substance Use. You will act as the first point of contact for residents in Lambeth. You will assess, engage and resettle service users into treatment and other community support services by maximising their engagement with community services on release. The role will involve working from criminal justice agencies including prisons, probation offices, outreach, custody suites, the community, and other appropriate settings. The right candidate will help us shape our Psychosocial offering for clients presenting with offending behaviour and drug and alcohol issues inclusive of DRR and ATR.
About You
As a Recovery worker you will have knowledge of recovery, care planning and relapse prevention activities and will have the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external agencies. You will have experience of group facilitation. As an individual, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, can work on their own initiative, but more importantly, as part of a team. You will need good communication and organisational skills. Successful candidates will be dynamic and forward thinking with keen insight into preventative and early intervention methods. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults presenting with substance, alcohol and associated issues as well as an understanding of the custodial system.

Successful completion of the Metropolitan Police vetting is a condition of employment in addition to a DBS vetting check. If unsuccessful with the Police vetting this will mean your employment cannot continue.
