Type: Full-time
Rate: £340 p/d PAYE + 36 Days Annual Leave // £455 p/d Umbrella


Vacancy Overview
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Marine Logistics Coordinator to join the Site Operations team supporting the Hinkley Point C (HPC) construction project. This role is integral to managing the logistics of Marine Abnormal Indivisible Loads (AILs) across key facilities, including Bristol Port and Combwich Wharf.


You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of marine operations, supporting a construction workforce of over 7,500. From planning and coordinating transport to ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding challenge.


Principal Accountabilities

1. Logistics Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the receipt, storage, and transportation of marine AILs.
2. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all marine logistics activities comply with statutory, regulatory, and project-specific safety and quality standards.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with service partners and internal teams, championing a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
4. Service Delivery: Develop and implement marine shared services plans, ensuring service levels meet project requirements.
5. Issue Resolution: Act swiftly to resolve any issues affecting service delivery, maintaining alignment with project schedules.
6. Budget Oversight: Support the development and management of budgets within the marine logistics scope.


About You
We are seeking an experienced logistics professional with a strong background in marine operations. You will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and communication skills.


Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential Skills & Experience:

1. Demonstrated experience in marine port operations and heavy haulage logistics.
2. Strong understanding of managing Waterborne Abnormal Indivisible Loads (AILs).
3. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams on large-scale construction projects.
4. Knowledge of freight forwarding and transportation planning.
5. Confident decision-maker with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
6. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.


Desirable Skills:

1. IOSH accreditation or equivalent safety certification.
2. PRINCE2 or APM project management qualification.
3. Previous experience in a highly regulated or secure environment.
