TheRole:
AutismPathways are currently seeking knowledgeable and confident SupportWorkers to join our setting for adults with Autism which opened inOctober last year. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply yourspecialist experience in an innovative unique concept setting whereevery detail is personcentred and tailored to the individual. Thisincludes 21 or 31 working with each service user (daytimes) highlystructured individual activity programmes a living space/workplacedesigned for safety (for both the service user and for you!) and anambitious professional development plan so you can truly become anexpert in yourfield.

Based inthe heart of Birkenhead this stateoftheart specialist setting willcomprise of 3 purposeadapted bungalows providing completely privatetailored accommodation for each resident. Catering specifically forindividuals with highly unique complex needs and behaviours we arepassionate about providing a service for those who may previouslyhave struggled to find the right support environment to give themthe best chance ofsuccess.
* Completelyseparate living accommodation for each resident comprising of theirown bedroom living space kitchen bathroom andgardens
* Specialistadditional features to promote safety throughout the settingincluding reenforced furniture and appliances hightech medicalmonitoring equipment where required completely separate staff areawithin each bungalow (with own access) to promote maximum privacyandindependence
RoleRequirements:
* Experienceworking in a similar setting (adults’ Autism learningdisabilities/complex behavioural needs or caring for the elderly)preferred but notessential
* Currentlyhold or be willing to undertake Level 2 Diploma in Health &Social Care (orequivalent)
* Flexibilityto work shift patterns according to the needs of our residentsincluding weekendworking
* We arelooking for calm confident individuals who can display a positiveunderstanding and attitude towards complex behaviours that may bechallenging
