We require a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join a welcoming primary school in Sutton Coldfield. This rewarding role involves providing one-on-one support, as well as facilitating small group sessions for pupils needing additional help to achieve their learning targets. The position is long-term, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent relevant qualification).
- Proven experience working with SEN students in an educational setting.
- Ideally, qualifications such as TeamTeach or Positive Behaviour Management training.
- Strong communication skills, with a preference for experience in non-verbal methods like Makaton and PECS.
- Demonstrated ability to support SEN pupils in one-on-one, small group, and whole-class settings.
- A team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues and follow the class teacher's guidance.
- Competence in managing, updating, and reviewing EHCP progress.
- A warm and inclusive Primary School.
- Strong support from a committed Senior Leadership Team and a passionate SENDCO.
- Rated 'Good' by Ofsted.
