Job Role
Your role will support all aspects of the Accounts function within the dealership, including banking, receipt allocation, sales and vehicle ledger, credit control, purchase ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet controls. Ensuring all payments are received and processed in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Process accounts paperwork daily and distribute for authorization.
* Ensure supplier invoices are processed promptly according to deadlines and procedures.
* Reconcile supplier statements monthly, request outstanding invoices, and make payments accordingly.
* Accurately record, process, and bank all receipts.
* Process credit references for new customers in line with procedures.
* Monitor and review credit accounts, liaising with managers about credit limits.
* Produce and send guest statements monthly within 24 hours.
* File records daily for easy access.
* Inform the dealer accountant of any issues affecting monthly accounts.
* Assist in other accounts department areas during staff absences to ensure continuity.
Work Pattern
This is a part-time position: 20-25 hours per week. Flexibility on working hours is open for discussion.
Candidate Requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent
* Previous experience in an accounts assistant role (desirable)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Excellent administration, typing, and data input skills
* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a professional telephone manner
* High attention to detail and good time management
* Passion for delivering excellent guest experiences
* Honest, with high integrity and motivation to succeed
