Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our in-house catering team. Applicants should have prior experience of working in a busy kitchen environment, have an excellent record of time-keeping and reliability, and have a good understanding of menu instructions and food hygiene.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
1. Organisation and supervision of the school food service provision.
2. Planning of the menu cycle to comply with nutrition and school food standards.
3. Provision of a choice menu in relation to religious, dietary and personal preferences of the students.
4. To advise the Head of Care on food standards regulations and hygiene guidelines for the provision of evening meals. Also to supervise the residential kitchen assistant to produce healthy meals for the learners and staff.
5. Skilled cooking activities connected with the provision of food including menu planning and portion control as well as food preparation and service.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
ESSENTIAL
* Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English or equivalent.
* Proven experience in managing hospitality and catering, ideally in a school environment.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
DESIRABLE
* Experience developing menus that cater to diverse dietary needs, including allergens.

Pay: £27,389.07-£33,090.15 per year
