This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role in a forward-thinking company focused on high-quality, low-to-medium volume production.
The Role:
As the Quality Department Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a small team dedicated to the inspection and testing of assembled PCBs and electronic assemblies. You will also oversee the Test Engineer to ensure all products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
Key Duties Include:

Leading a team of 3–5 Inspectors and a Test Engineer
*
Inspecting PCBs and assemblies to IPC-A-610 Class 3 using AOI, X-Ray and magnification tools
*
Managing inspection queries, raising and tracking NCRs
*
Liaising with the Production Manager to ensure On-Time Deliveries (OTDs) are achieved
*
Supporting and training technicians on faults, findings, and best practices
*
Monitoring quality metrics and addressing issues as they arise
*
Coordinating rework when required
*
Completing and reviewing FAIRs to AS9100
*
Applying root cause tools (5 Whys, 8D) for continuous improvement
Requirements:
*
Strong understanding of component identification (resistors, capacitors, ICs)
*
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
*
Prior inspection and/or assembly experience to IPC-A-610 Class 2 or higher (Class 3 desirable)
*
Excellent attention to detail and ability to focus on repetitive tasks
*
Strong communication and leadership skills
*
Demonstrated experience managing or supervising a team
*
Familiarity with test result documentation and liaising with test departments
*
Knowledge of quality standards and continuous improvement practices
*
Oral and written English fluency is essential
