As a Distribution Centre Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the execution, direction, and co-ordination of all areas within the site with particular focus upon culture, H&S, and service excellence.

Job Description
Your role as Distribution Centre Manager
* Develop and deliver a continuous improvement culture, striving and delivering service excellence in all areas.
* Develop and lead Health and Safety compliance, including behavioural culture and adherence to all legal obligations and company policies and procedures.
* Site lead for ESG initiatives from reduced road miles/fuel usage to people welfare.
* Achieving and bettering site budget, with responsibility and ownership for this.
* Responsible for creating the strategic direction of the site and translating this into a working operational plan to create a best-in-class warehousing and distribution operation, with key metrics in place.
* Responsible for all aspects of site security and environmental obligations ensuring the site is maintained in line with internal and external standards.
* Ensure active personal development planning and a structured performance review process are in place, including succession planning.
* Responsible for the site communication plans including daily, weekly, and monthly briefings to all teams, ensuring all teams are regularly updated on the business performance and strategy, aligned to how they support this on a wider scale.
* Manage Trade Union relationships on site.
* Input into network and company-wide initiatives and act as the lead when required.
* Effectively manage supplier/customer relationships in line with business standards.
* Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll bring…
* Proven experience of leading teams through periods of transformational change and high-performance cultures.
* Logistics/Distribution experience in a fast-moving FMCG environment.
* Experience of producing and managing a site budget.
* Established leader with a track record of developing individuals, cultures, and teams to drive cultural change and unlock potential.
* Ability to take on board & lead transformation projects.
* Experience of successful implementation of innovation and efficiencies in a warehouse and transport environment.
* A relevant FMCG/Distribution qualification at Lv4+ preferred.
* Optional/desired CPC holder.
* Nebosh General Certificate.
